Communities circulate their own Ayn Rand-inspired currencies

I was just talking a few days ago to my Facebook friends about how people should start circulating their own currencies in the US. As it turns out they are. From USA Today:

Here’s a picture of the North Carolina “Plenty” note. Correct me if I’m wrong: Isn’t that a picture of Atlas holding up an invisible globe? That’s not even subtle.


BTW, I recently tried to submit the term “the new gay” to the Urban Dictionary, with the example sentence “Objectivism is the new gay”, but my submission was rejected.
